Shipping, Terms & Conditions

Shipping Methods & Delivery Timing

All plants sold by Frootz are cold-stored, dormant bare-root or potted plants.
Orders are reserved in winter and shipped in spring when planting conditions are safe.

Typical shipping window:
April – May – early June, depending on weather and your location.

Shipping dates are influenced by:

  • Soil temperatures

  • Weather patterns

  • Product dormancy

  • Order volume

You will receive tracking information when your order ships.


Retail Shipping (Online Store Orders)

  • Flat-rate shipping: $20 per order

  • Free shipping on retail orders over $150

  • Shipping applies to the lower 48 states

Retail shipping covers standard UPS / Speedee / regional carrier service depending on destination and product type.

Up to 5 Blueberry Pots can be purchased in our Free Shipping promotion.  All extra pots will be assessed a $25/box (7 pots) surcharge.  


Commercial Shipping & Freight

Commercial orders ship primarily by:

  • LTL Freight

  • SpeeDee Shipping

Commercial freight terms:

  • A freight estimate or deposit is collected at checkout

  • Final freight is invoiced or refunded at shipment

  • Freight is based on:

    • Quantity

    • Box or pallet count

    • Carrier zone

    • Fuel surcharges at time of shipment

Local commercial pickup is available by appointment.


Payments

All online orders must be paid at checkout using:

  • Credit / debit card

  • Check Payment mailed to us

For commercial orders:

  • Check Payment mailed to us

  • Credit Card (subject to CC Processing Fee)
  • Final balance due prior to shipment

Orders will not ship with outstanding balances.


Sales Tax

  • Minnesota sales tax is automatically calculated at checkout.

  • If you are tax-exempt, please provide:

    • A completed Minnesota ST3 form

    • Or appropriate exemption documentation for your state

  • Approved tax-exempt status must be on file before checkout to remove tax.


Product Availability & Substitutions

Inventory is updated frequently, but due to agricultural variables:

  • Crop losses

  • Weather events

  • Dormancy failure

  • Harvest conditions

If a product becomes unavailable:

  • You will be contacted

  • You may choose:

    • Substitution

    • Store credit

    • Refund for the affected item only


Guarantee & Claims Policy

We guarantee that all plants:

  • Ship alive

  • Are in dormant, viable condition

  • Meet industry grading standards

Because we cannot control:

  • Planting practices

  • Soil preparation

  • Weather conditions

  • Irrigation

  • Pest or disease pressure

Our liability is limited strictly to the purchase price of the plants.

Claims Requirements:

  • Must be submitted within 7 days of delivery

  • Must include:

    • Clear photos

    • Order number

    • Description of issue

Claims submitted after planting or after 7 days cannot be honored.


No Warranty Disclaimer

Frootz Inc. makes no warranties, expressed or implied, including:

  • Merchantability

  • Fitness for a particular purpose

  • Crop yield performance


Order Cancellations

Because plants are reserved and purchased specifically for your order:

  • Orders may be canceled only before trucks leave nurseries (early April)

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable once shipment is shipped


Pricing

  • Prices are subject to change without notice

  • Confirmed orders are protected at the price paid
