Superior is a highly productive northern highbush blueberry selected to push the harvest season later into summer. Upright bushes reach about 4–5 feet tall and carry heavy crops of firm, light to medium blue berries with a balanced, sweet flavor. For growers and home gardeners who already harvest early and mid-season blueberries, Superior helps keep fresh fruit coming after most varieties have begun to wind down.

The plants are adapted to cold northern conditions and thrive in full sun with acidic, well-drained soil. While classified as self-fruitful, Superior will typically set larger crops and better-sized berries when paired with another northern highbush variety for cross-pollination.
