Darselect is a highly productive, widely adapted variety that performs well in both plasticulture and traditional matted-row systems. Growers rate it highly for berry size, color, and overall appearance, with firm fruit that ships and handles well while still delivering very good flavor. Large, dark red berries give a premium look in flats and clamshells, making Darselect a strong choice for fresh market and pick-your-own operations that want standout visual appeal.

The plants are vigorous and capable of strong yields when given balanced nutrition through the fruiting period. Because foliage can be susceptible to powdery mildew, it responds best to good air flow, sound fungicide programs where needed, and adequate nitrogen, magnesium, and potassium. In the right site and with thoughtful fertility, Darselect will reward growers with heavy crops of high-quality berries across Zones 4–8.
